An anti-inflammatory and analgesic (pain relief) medication. It is indicated in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders in horses and ponies where the anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties of phenylbutazone can provide relief, for example, in lameness associated with osteoarthritis, acute and chronic laminitis, bursitis, carpelitis and in reducing soft tissue reactivity after surgery.
